Frequently Asked Question

1. How many acres can be cleared per day?

The Georgia Mulching Process is able to clear 2-3 acres per day.

2. What happens to the mulched material?

The mulched material is left on the ground and will act as a natural erosion barrier. All material is chipped into mulch, with stumps cut at close to ground level, enabling any rubber tired machinery to be driven across cleared site.

3. Will grass grow through the mulch?

Yes, but mulching slows the regrowth process making up-keep more manageable if that's your goal. Mowing can help maintain the regrowth process.

4. Can we pick trees to be left?

Yes, and the root systems of the tree you select will not be damage by our Georgia Mulching process. Eco-Friendly selective clearing is a decided advantage over heavy equipment land clearing.

5. Will cut trees grow back?

Cedar and Pine trees will not come back from the roots, and the mulch will act as a barrier to prevent new ones from germinating.  Hardwoods are the easiest trees to grow back however, they come back very leafy before they become trees and can be easily mowed during regular land management.

6. Heavy Equipment vs the Georgia Mulching Process?

Heavy equipment is like bringing in the United States Military to do the local law enforcements job. It will get the job done but it will be messy and disturbing to the indigenous eco-system. Heavy equipment works by ripping trees and brush completely out of the ground. Creating huge piles of debris for disposal which must be left to dry and then burned, with the remaining debris requiring labor-some sorting and more cost in hauling off fees.

7. What areas do you service?

Greater Atlanta, Georgia, and some surrounding States depending on the job.

8. What is an ECO mulching head?

Georgia Mulching's equipment is highly innovative, featuring the latest in mulching technology. Our eco-friendly equipment uses hydraulic flow to create the centrifugal force necessary for the patented grinding drum to quickly and safely reduce unwanted trees and brush to nothing.

9. What's so great about mulching?

The mulch created by the Georgia Mulching Process helps to restore the ph balance of the soil creating a richer healthier eco-system everywhere it touches. It also acts as and erosion control barrier slowing any unwanted regrowth. Besides, creates a more aesthetically pleasing look for your property, it also creates functionally because you can immediately drive or play on the mulched area. one of our favorite descriptions is "carpet for the outdoors".

10. Will I need permits?

No, Our Georgia Mulching Process requires no hauling, burning, city, or county permitting for mulching vegetation less than 10" in diameter.
